When we look at God’s definition of good works in the Bible we find three criteria. What is a good work according to God’s word and what do good works have to do with our salvation?

We read in James 2:24 that “a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.” Yet, Paul writes that we are justified through faith and not works (Eph. 2:8-9). Are James and Paul at odds with each other?
